What size should a LinkedIn banner be?
LinkedIn recommends 1584×396 pixels — a 4:1 aspect ratio. Upload a PNG or JPG under 8 MB. All eighteen templates export exactly 1584×396 as a PNG, so it always fits without cropping surprises.
Which LinkedIn banner template should I pick?
Match the template to the room you're walking into. Corporate and finance profiles read best in Blueprint, Minimal Paper or Spectrum. Design and marketing profiles carry Aurora, Ribbon or Arc. Engineering and data profiles suit Terminal or Duotone. Then set the tone with the palette: the cool sets read institutional, the warm sets read human. If you're unsure, start where the tool opens — Split Panel puts your face beside your role, which is the combination that does the most work on a profile — and swap in your own two brand colors.
Are there warm-colored LinkedIn banner templates?
Yes, in two ways. Six templates are warm by design — Sunrise, Riso Print, Retro Bands, Golden Hour, Arch and Bloom — built around sunset gradients, risograph grain, seventies bands and golden-hour light. On top of that, seven warm palettes (Ember, Sunset, Terracotta, Amber, Mocha, Coral, Crimson) run through all eighteen templates, so any layout can be warm. Amber and Mocha are the quietest and hold up for consulting, law and finance; Sunset and Coral are the loudest and suit creative and personal-brand profiles. Warm also does something practical: almost every banner on the feed is blue, so an orange or clay one stops the scroll.
Where does the profile photo overlap the banner?
On desktop, your circular profile photo covers the bottom-left corner — roughly the first 350 pixels from the left and 200 pixels up from the bottom. Every template here keeps its text and photo out of that corner, and the safe-zone overlay shows the area.
What should a LinkedIn banner say?
Treat it as a billboard for your headline: your role (the title recruiters search), 3–5 core skills or a one-line value statement, and nothing else. If someone can't read it in two seconds, it has too much text.
Should I export as PNG or JPG?
PNG. Banners are mostly flat color and text, and JPG compression blurs sharp edges and small type. A 1584×396 PNG is usually well under LinkedIn's 8 MB limit.
Does this tool upload my photo anywhere?
No. Every template is drawn on a canvas inside your browser. Your photo and text are never sent to a server, stored, or seen by anyone — the PNG is generated locally on your device.
